Hello, my name is Ms. Ward and I am one of the second grade teachers at the Ellis. I have my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Some fun facts about me are that I went to Boston Public Schools from Kindergarten to 12th grade, I love to travel, and I love to play sports in my free time!
In my opinion, a positive and structured classroom environment is key to successful learning in elementary education. I set clear expectations for behavior and use positive reinforcement to encourage good habits and social skills.
Through classroom routines, clear communication, and a focus on community-building activities, I help students develop responsibility, empathy, and respect for one another. By fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect, I create a space where students feel safe to express themselves and explore new ideas regardless of their background or abilities.
